Syria and Lebanon are the land of the first Christians. It is in Antioch ancient Syria where the followers of Jesus were called Christians for the first time. For the first 1000 years after Christ, Christianity was primarily a Middle Eastern religion. Christians of the Middle East have survived severe persecution, most recently with ISIS campaign of genocide and as Our Holy Father Pope Francis said: 
" through the years faced every difficulty for the Christian name and still have kept the faith". 

There are no FOOD BANKS in Syria or in Lebanon. So, these two projects support providing food for Syrian and Lebanese Christian families who are passing through very difficult times and hardly able to get food for their children. The economies & currencies of both countries have collapsed to unprecedented levels.
